Job Description Summary We are recruiting for PM House Attendant, working the hours of 2 pm to 11 pm. The House Attendant will assist room attendants on assigned floors and may assist with stripping linens from room and/or cleaning of public areas. He/she will also deliver and retrieve items requested by guests and housekeeping staff.

Requirements

  • Ability to adhere to Sonesta grooming standards.
  • Ability to lift and move approximately 75 pounds.
  • Ability to push / pull carts weighing approximately 200 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb (including stairs) and reach continually on a daily basis.
  • Ability to operate and control industrial maintenance equipment (for example: floor buffers, carpet cleaners, etc.)
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring sustained repetitive motion (for example: cleaning windows, vacuuming, etc.)
  • Ability to hear guest voices through a closed door.
  • Ability to sustain outdoor elements including heat, wind, rain and cold.
  • Ability to communicate with guests and be able to direct/escort them to the various facilities and functions within the hotel.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a quiet, professional atmosphere in all guestrooms, corridors and public areas.
  • Follow procedures for reporting to work, taking meal breaks and end of shift.
  • Follow bending/lifting techniques.
  • Ensure chemicals are mixed properly and bottles filled as required.
  • Ensure linen rooms are properly stocked.
  • Follow procedures for processing torn and stained linen.
  • Ensure linen bags are emptied in a timely manner.
  • Ensure trash bags are emptied in a timely manner.
  • Follow procedures established for cleaning Room Service tables and / or trays.
  • Follow procedures established for cleaning windows, mirrors and brass.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of vending areas.
  • Maintain the service area landings; cleaning and stripping of floors as required.
  • Follow procedures established for vacuuming corridors and public areas.
