About The Position

The cleanliness of our hotel is one of the most important reasons guests return—and recommend us to friends and family. At Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center, our Housekeeping team plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, comfortable, and memorable experience for every guest. We are currently seeking detail-oriented and dependable individuals to join our Housekeeping team as a House Attendant. This position supports daily housekeeping operations by assisting Room Attendants and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of public areas and service spaces throughout the hotel. This role is truly the Heart of the House. Position Summary The House Attendant is responsible for supporting housekeeping operations by assisting with cleaning, organizing, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the hotel while providing the highest level of service to our guests.

Requirements

  • Prior housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred but not required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend, twist, lift, push, pull, and stand or walk for the duration of the shift
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Neat appearance and professional demeanor

Nice To Haves

  • Prior housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain all public areas in the guest room tower, including guest room corridors, elevators, stairwells, vending areas, and laundry rooms
  • Assist Room Attendants with stripping linen from guest rooms and transporting soiled linen to the laundry room
  • Distribute clean linen and stock storerooms and floor pantries as needed
  • Assist Room Attendants with supplies for guest rooms, including amenities, glassware, and delivery of cribs and rollaway beds
  • Deliver guest-requested items promptly and professionally
  • Assist with receiving shipments for the Housekeeping department; put away stock and maintain clean, organized storeroom areas
  • Empty trash from service and public areas and transport it to the dumpster
  • Provide the highest quality of service to guests at all times, responding in a friendly and helpful manner
  • Perform Room Attendant duties when needed
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management
