About The Position

The Housekeeping Houseperson is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the hotel. This person must have goodmunication skills as well as the ability to lift, pull and push a moderate weight. This is a fast-paced position.

Requirements

  • Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to stand during entire shift.
  • Must be able to effectivelymunicate both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including AM, PM shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Buff marble floors daily according to hotel standards.
  • Shampoo carpets in the public areas according to hotel standards.
  • Polish furniture as needed.
  • Handle all requests for luggage assistance in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner.
  • Clean guestrooms as needed, ensuring all trash and soiled linens are removed.
  • Have knowledge of and assist in all emergency procedures.
  • Maintain hotel equipment in proper working order.
  • Maintain storage of hotel equipment in proper area.
  • Keep all hallways and public areas clean, neat, and vacuumed.
  • Maintain theanization of guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linens. Restock the amenities closet and linen as needed. Remove all trash and soiled linens throughout the shift.
  • Respond to all guest requests in a timely manner.
  • Complete special projects as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
