This is a first shift, full-time position. Regular business hours will be Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm with on-call hours as needed. As a House Assistant with Burton Center, you will be able to support adults ages 21 and up with disabilities and special needs across three residential homes. This role ensures each home is safe, well-maintained, and aligns with each individuals' support needs. You will be responsible for completing routine safety checks, restocking groceries and personal hygiene supplies, and assisting individuals on routine shopping trips, appointments, and budgeting. While demonstrating a positive and professional attitude, you will also train and support Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to implement Individual Support Plans effectively for each adult. You will also be responsible for creating schedules that are adequately staffed, modeling the best practices in care, communication, and teamwork, and interacting with individuals' family members in a warm, professional manner. Staying organized and completing online progress reports, goals, and daily notes in a timely manner will ensure compliance with Burton Center, federal, and state policies and procedures. This position requires hands-on support, reliability, and a commitment to developing and discovering unlimited potential in adults with disabilities and special needs!
