Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years in a food preparation position
• High school diploma or equivalent and experience in food preparation in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work independently and in a high stress, fast paced environment
• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility in an often tightly quartered environment.
• Have the ability to bend and lift up to 30 pounds frequently
• Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Directly supervises the preparation and production of the unit's menus and leads a shift or station in the hot kitchen or cold kitchen.
• Participate as part of Culinary Leadership Team to lead a culinary department for the preparation of foods served to guests in a consistent and timely manner.
• Ensure Kitchen Safety and Sanitation conforms to all Sodexo Live!, OSHA, regulatory and governmental standards to provide a safe work environment in which high quality food is produced.
• Provides training, mentoring and helping to develop other cooks, and for monitoring and organizing the flow of activity within the kitchen in a way that complements and supports the overall operation.
