The Hourly Production Planner position at Sonoco involves maintaining master schedules for all departments and coordinating with the materials manager to assist in the preparation of production schedules. The role requires assisting the production department with the promised, on-time shipment of customer products. The planner will be responsible for scheduling, job creation, and updating spreadsheets, as well as liaising with production departments regarding the status of order completion and ship dates. Additional responsibilities include assisting in planning and coordinating company functions and meetings, performing receptionist duties, and providing administrative support.
