JOB TITLE: Hourly Pooled - Shipping and Receiving Assistant JOB PURPOSE: Assist Shipping & Receiving Department in terms of outgoing and incoming freight, packages, and mail
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent GED
- Able to lift 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the Driving for University Business SAP
- Attention to detail
- Customer service orientated
- Safety conscious
- Comfortable with computer usage.
Nice To Haves
- Shipping & receiving experience
- Competent ability with verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in-person and over the phone
- Knowledge of UPS, FedEx, and USPS shipping systems (creating labels for outgoing packages)
- Basic computer skills, including most Microsoft programs
- Ability to drive larger delivery vehicle in tight campus locations
Responsibilities
- Assist delivering and pick up of freight, packages, and mail on campus.
- Assist with preparing outgoing shipments.
- Other warehouse duties as needed (sweeping, organizing, etc.)
