About The Position

Location: Elk Grove Village, IL Position: Hourly Maintenance Planner Hiring Manager: Ehab Elhariry Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00AM-4:00PM (OT Required During Projects) Location: Maintenance Rate: $42.05/hr What you’ll be doing: Responsible for planning all maintenance jobs in a timely manner. This includes: Ensuring all safety risks are identified and eliminated/reduced. Thoroughly planning each maintenance task from prep work needed, documentation required, parts kitted, manpower needed to complete and post-work needed. Ensuring that Preventive Maintenance tasks take precedence in the planned schedule. Assisting in ensuring all Preventive/Predictive Maintenance tasks are thorough and will prevent breakdown. Ensuring CMMS has the proper PM tasks and frequency loaded and attached to pieces of equipment. Ensuring each piece of equipment has spare parts listed in CMMS. Owning and planning Planned Downtime to ensure that all tasks that will ensure Zero Breakdown are performed. Identify required spare parts and verify availability ahead of scheduled work. Work with storeroom and procurement to stage materials and manage inventory. Request purchase orders for tools, parts, and service support when needed. Develop weekly and daily maintenance schedules for PM, PdM, and corrective work. Plan job steps, labor hours, materials, safety requirements, tools, and permits. Coordinate planned downtime with production, maintenance, and contractors. Convert emergency and reactive work into planned tasks when appropriate. Track and publish maintenance backlog and schedule compliance. Responsible for scheduling all maintenance jobs in a timely manner. Responsible for maintaining CMMS Responsible for Support & Coaching Work with technicians to define scope and steps of planned jobs. Participate in planned shutdowns and maintenance sessions. Responsible for Maintenance Excellence & Pillar Participation Serve as backup to the Maintenance Excellence (ME) Pillar Leader. Act as Planning & Scheduling sub-pillar champion. Responsible for Cost Reduction & Continuous Improvement Support RCA and implementation of corrective actions. Coordinate external contractors and service vendors for improvement work. Responsible for Communication & Coordination Act as liaison between maintenance, production, storeroom, and vendors. Attend daily/weekly scheduling and operations meetings. Communicate changes in plans, equipment status, and downtime needs. Coordinate outside services, OEM technical support, and specialty work. Must be able to work overtime when required. This position is in our Flexibles facility in beautiful Elk Grove Village, IL!

Requirements

  • Any level or years of technical schooling/training or degree requirements (1 – 2 years)
  • At least 2 years of directly related industrial maintenance experience in all or any of the following industrial maintenance competencies: mechanical, electrical, millwright, multi-craft.
  • Experience using a CMMS (SAP PM, Maximo, eMaint, MVP, etc.).
  • Understanding of PM, PdM, and reliability-centered maintenance principles.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, OEM manuals, and job scopes.
  • Prior directly related industrial maintenance experience supporting a 24/7 or continuous operations process in a manufacturing or industrial work environment.
  • Strong communication and facilitation/coordination skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate advanced levels of technical knowledge and skills within industrial maintenance to include the ability to demonstrate hands-on credibility with maintenance & engineering positions (ex. maintenance technicians).
  • Ability to work on the off-shifts and weekends to support scheduled work & coordination responsibilities as needed.

  • Prior experience performing the responsibilities of a Maintenance Planner, Scheduler, or Lead Technician in a manufacturing or industrial work environment.
  • Prior experience and/or training with Lean, TPM, and Maintenance Excellence pillars.
  • Prior experience coordinating contractors and small to medium-sized maintenance projects.
  • Prior experience or familiarization with spare parts management and procurement workflows.
