About The Position

The Hotshot Driver position is responsible for transportation and logistical support functions to ensure continuous field and operational production. This role involves transporting equipment, materials, and personnel between company facilities, hotels, and field locations while maintaining compliance with DOT and company safety standards. This role requires a dependable individual who can operate company vehicles safely, maintain proper documentation, and assist with shop support activities when not actively transporting equipment or personnel. Candidates must be comfortable working flexible schedules and supporting operational needs that may require extended hours and travel.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent work experience)
  • 1–3 years of verifiable driving or transportation-related work experience preferred
  • Basic mechanical ability to assist with shop tasks and minor equipment support
  • Must maintain a valid Class C driver's license and current medical card with a clean driving record and no major violations
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must meet company driving requirements for insurance purposes
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to safely operate vehicles in varied driving conditions
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical
  • Ability to sit and drive for extended periods of time
  • Ability to load, unload, and secure equipment and materials as needed
  • Ability to lift and move equipment or supplies as required
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to travel frequently to job sites and operational locations

Responsibilities

  • Pick up and deliver equipment, materials, and personnel between company facilities, hotels, and field locations.
  • Perform complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure safe operation and minimize breakdowns.
  • Safely operate company vehicles in high traffic/congested areas as well as rural and remote locations.
  • Maintain accurate logbooks and transportation documentation in compliance with DOT and company requirements.
  • Assist with shop duties and operational support tasks as assigned by management.
  • Ensure proper handling and transportation of equipment and materials.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicles.
  • Communicate transportation status and any issues to management promptly.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
