About The Position

The Hotel Utility Attendant will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of all public and back of house areas of the hotel. Will ensure the hotel meets all health and safety standards, while also providing exceptional customer service to guests.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services
Ability to push, pull, carry and lift 50 pounds on a regular basis throughout the shift. Moving furniture, frequent walking, standing, bending and stair climbing are regular requirements of the job.
Knowledge of health and safety standards and best practices
Strong organizational and communication skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Flexible schedule and available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner and answer any questions they may have
Clean and restock all hotel public areas, such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and break rooms
Clean, sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes public and back-of-house floors
Ensure all equipment in fitness room is clean and functional
Empty trash and recycling bins in all public and back-of-house spaces
Check stairwells for debris and trash
Respond to maintenance and repair requests in a timely manner
Ensure all areas of the hotel are secure and safe
Report all maintenance and repair issues to management
May clean and restock hotel guest rooms, including changing linens and dusting
May assist with inventory control and ordering of supplies
Maintain open communication with other hotel departments
Performs all other duties as assigned.
