The Stewarding Department is primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all hotel China, silverware, and cookware. Responsibilities of the Stewarding Supervisor may include supervising the cleaning in any area of the food and beverage function within the hotel. This person must have good communication skills and have the ability to lift, pull and push a moderate amount of weight. This is a fast-paced position that will involve constant guest and colleague interaction. Supervise and lead stewarding staff during assigned shifts, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to standard. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, equipment, and dishwashing machines in compliance with health and safety standards. Oversee setup, breakdown, and proper distribution of stewarding equipment for banquets, restaurants, and special events. Monitor and control stewarding inventory, including china, glassware, silverware, and cleaning supplies.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Must be Food Handler certified.
  • 1 Year of hotel or food and beverage experience preferred.
