About The Position

The Shuttle Van Driver at Hampton Inn Miami Airport East is responsible for safely transporting registered guests and other approved passengers to designated locations within the area. This role requires a focus on customer service, vehicle maintenance, and adherence to safety regulations while providing a welcoming experience for guests.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a Motor Vehicle Operator's License in good standing.
• 2 years van driver experience preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively, both written and oral.
• Ability to work the shifts required for the position.
• Ability to learn and adhere to Brand & Baywood Hotels' standards.
• Ability to safely operate a passenger van.
• Excellent public relations skills and ability to handle/resolve guest complaints.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in public relations or customer service.
• Familiarity with hotel operations and interdepartmental relationships.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport passengers to approved designated drop off & pick up points as approved by management.
• Check hands free device for connectivity before starting shift in vehicle.
• Perform vehicle safety inspection using checklist prior to transporting passengers.
• Monitor interior of van for cleanliness, remove trash, and perform light cleaning.
• Maintain a safe vehicle and alert management of any operational concerns.
• Maintain necessary service records and complete mileage log book.
• Monitor gas tank level and replenish as needed.
• Comply with all laws and regulations regarding operating and maintaining assigned vehicle.
• Warmly greet passengers as they enter/depart the van.
• Ensure that passengers complete passenger log prior to departure and file it.
• Offer water to passengers during warm months and assist with luggage as needed.
• Analyze passengers pick-up/drop-off schedules to ensure efficiency in shuttle runs.
• Support other departments as needed during downtime.
