Hotel Room Attendant
About The Position
We are currently looking for Room Attendants to join our Housekeeping Team! Our Residence Inn® by Marriott in Wayne, with 118 full suites, is nestled in a peaceful corner of northern New Jersey. When our guests visit William Paterson University or attend a wedding at The Brownstone or The Tides Estate, there’s no closer hotel. Ice . We are an extended stay hotel, and our suites have full kitchens including a fridge, microwave, and utensils. A great place to stay, a great place to work. The Residence Inn is one of the 50 hotel properties owned and managed by the award-winning hotel management company, Buffalo Lodging Associates. A Room Attendant will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of our guest rooms and suites. Starting pay $16.75 per hour.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hotel setting or open to training.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Able to work alone or as part of a team.
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods.
- Can navigate a cart weighing up to 100 lbs., and lift, carry up to 25 lbs.
- And most importantly an engaging personality.
Responsibilities
- Clean rooms/suites as assigned by supervisor ensuring quality of cleanliness and customer service. This includes cleaning floors, vacuuming, changing linens, making beds, cleaning bathrooms.
- Reporting discrepancies and maintenance problems to supervisor.
- Providing excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests.
- Working typical shifts that include weekends and holidays when required.
