Omni Interlocken Resort & Spa is seeking a Line Cook to join our outstanding culinary team! This vital role will work closely with the Executive Chef and Culinary Leaders to oversee / ensure successful execution of all operations relating to the kitchen, resulting in high levels of guest satisfaction. This highly motivated individual will prepare all hot/cold food items, to create pizza dishes in a modern, innovative and classic style. Be responsible for consistency and quality production and ensure all food is served according to specification. We are looking for motivated and energetic individuals who love contributing to a winning team. If you have culinary experience in a hotel environment or restaurant, we would love to speak with you about this role. Salary range for this position (based on experience): $22.00 - 24.00/hour. Full Time Associates at Omni Interlocken Resort are entitled to elect the following benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision and other health-care benefits, Paid Maternity Leave, 401k and Paid Time Off Accrual. Requirements

  • Display basic knife skills.
  • AAS in Culinary Arts or equivalent from an accredited University or Institute preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 yrs experience in fast paced, culinary environment.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Must be able to stand for 8+ hours per day.
  • Flexible Scheduling to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Servesafe Sanitation; ACF Certified preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.

Nice To Haves

  • AAS in Culinary Arts or equivalent from an accredited University or Institute preferred.
  • Servesafe Sanitation; ACF Certified preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain kitchen sanitation in accordance with health department guidelines
  • Insure station is set for service 15 minutes prior to service.
  • Required to learn all menu items produced by assigned station.
  • Perform work assignments to meet proper quantities within a necessary time frame.
  • Refrigeration and serving of cold food.
  • Production and execution of orders to meet Omni standards.
  • Maintain safe food handling procedures at all times.
