About The Position

The DoubleTree by Hilton Manhattan, Kansas, is seeking a Hotel Restaurant Cook to join its dynamic hospitality team. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to DoubleTree/Hilton recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines. This includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquets, and special events.
  • Set up, stock, and maintain workstations to meet kitchen demands during service hours (line cooking, buffet preparation, banquet cooking, etc.).
  • Ensure consistent food quality by checking ingredients for freshness, taste, temperature, and presentation.
  • Follow Hilton, DoubleTree, and local health department sanitation and food safety regulations (e.g., proper food handling, cleaning, temperature checks, and storage practices).
  • Work closely with kitchen staff, servers, and management to maintain smooth service, especially during high-volume periods like conferences, weddings, or game weekends (especially important in Manhattan, KS with K-State events).
  • Assist in receiving, rotating, and properly storing inventory and supplies.
  • Help with monthly inventories when needed.
  • Occasionally interact with guests (e.g., open kitchen, chef’s station events) to ensure satisfaction and accommodate special requests.
  • Properly use and clean kitchen equipment, and report maintenance issues promptly to keep operations safe and efficient.
