About The Position

The Server at Moody Gardens, Inc. is responsible for providing excellent service to guests by taking and delivering food and beverage orders in a friendly and professional manner. The role emphasizes guest satisfaction and adherence to company policies and procedures while performing various tasks related to food service.

Requirements

• Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Prior hospitality/server experience preferred.
• Must obtain TABC & Food Handlers Certification prior to beginning work.

Nice To Haves

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Check station before, during, and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
• Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials or restaurant promotions.
• Record the details of the order from the guests, repeating the order to check for accuracy.
• Retrieve orders from the kitchen, confirming accuracy, and deliver them to guests with appropriate condiments.
• Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
• Market and serve dessert items or specialty coffees.
• Assist server assistants in clearing and resetting tables.
• Perform all side work including replenishing condiments and restocking side stands.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned.
