NIGHT LAUNDRY ATTENDANT: THE MIDNIGHT LINEN STEWARD! Your Challenge: Ensure a Fresh Stock of Linens and Garments is Ready for the Next Day's Operations at Extended Stay America! Ready for a crucial, overnight back-of-house role that directly impacts guest comfort and efficiency? Join the Extended Stay America team as our next Night Laundry Attendant! You are responsible for the overnight linen cycle—from late-night collection to early-morning folding—for guest/employee laundry and all hotel linens. Your reliability and meticulous attention to detail are key to keeping the hotel stocked, clean, and prepared for peak daytime operations.

Requirements

  • Work independently and responsibly during the overnight shift (ex: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
  • Perform repetitive physical tasks, including standing for extended periods, bending, lifting, and carrying loads of laundry (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Read and understand basic instructions and follow safety procedures for commercial laundry equipment and chemicals.

Responsibilities

  • Overnight Processing: Operate laundry equipment (washers, dryers, ironers) during the night shift to sort, weigh, wash, dry, iron, and fold all hotel linens (sheets, towels, F&B items) to ensure the morning shift has a full, fresh supply.
  • Guest & Employee Laundry: Efficiently process any late guest laundry and dry cleaning drop-offs and employee uniforms left for overnight cleaning. This includes logging, tagging, washing, drying, and preparing items for early morning pick-up.
  • Finishing & Stacking: Expertly iron and fold all flat work and carefully stack/store completed linens in designated areas, ensuring they meet quality standards and are ready for distribution.
  • Cleanliness & Maintenance: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized laundry room throughout the night. This includes cleaning lint filters, wiping down machine exteriors, sweeping/mopping floors, and securing supplies before the end of the shift.
  • Inventory Prep: Monitor linen par levels and report any shortages or excessive wear/tear to the management to support accurate inventory control.
  • Late-Night Housekeeping Support: Assist the night management by performing general cleaning tasks in public areas (e.g., wiping down late-night coffee stations, restocking public area restrooms) as requested or scheduled.
  • Security & Safety: Adhere to all hotel safety and security procedures during the overnight hours, reporting any unusual activity to the Night Auditor or Manager on Duty.
  • Special Requests: Execute any necessary deep-cleaning tasks or special linen preparation requests designated for the overnight shift.
