About The Position

The Maintenance Technician at Country Inn & Suites is responsible for preserving the condition and functionality of the hotel premises. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks, ensuring that the building and common areas are maintained in optimal condition. The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail and a thorough approach to maintenance work.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a maintenance technician.
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and other systems.
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
• Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• 2 years of maintenance experience (preferred)
• Driver's License (required)

Responsibilities

• Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they meet health and safety standards.
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems including replacing light bulbs, sockets, outlets, and switches.
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
• Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs as needed.
• Perform manual repairs such as fixing locks and replacing windows.
• Conduct general upkeep procedures including landscaping and other assigned tasks like painting and carpentry.
