About The Position

The Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, public spaces, and hotel grounds. This role is essential in ensuring the hotel operates smoothly and provides a safe and welcoming environment for guests and associates. The technician will engage in preventative maintenance, respond to work orders, and perform repairs on various hotel equipment and systems.

Requirements

  • Six months of maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • HVAC, Electrical, and/or Plumbing Certification preferred.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs occasionally and 25lbs regularly.
  • Ability to bend and squat repeatedly, and walk and stand for the duration of the scheduled shift.
  • Flexibility to work day shifts, early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in hotel maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis.
  • Complete work orders from guests and hotel associates and record in log.
  • Assist in checking electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, television sets, and lighting systems, making minor repairs and/or replacements as needed.
  • Make routine repairs on all hotel equipment including small appliances, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, boilers, pool equipment, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
  • Service the hotel's pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters.
  • Refurbish furniture and fixtures within guest rooms, including painting and finishing as needed.
  • Operate power equipment, hand tools, and vehicles associated with ground maintenance and landscaping activities.
  • Maintain grounds equipment and tools in proper working order.
  • Remove trash daily from sidewalks, grounds, landscaping, and parking lots.
  • Provide friendly, prompt service for hotel guests and associates in accordance with Atrium's Core Values.
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, including reporting accidents and unsafe work conditions.
