About The Position
Red Stone Inn, located in the heart of scenic Moab, Utah, is seeking a reliable and experienced Hotel Maintenance Technician to support its hotel operations. This is a hands-on position for an individual who enjoys problem-solving, working with building systems, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for guests and staff. The role is crucial for keeping the property running smoothly and looking its best throughout the year. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and operation of hotel facilities, including guest rooms, shared spaces, building systems, and exterior grounds, contributing to safety, functionality, and overall appearance to support a high-quality guest experience.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage priorities and work independently

- Strong commitment to workplace safety and guest service quality
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in hotel maintenance or general building maintenance
Responsibilities
- Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
- Respond to maintenance requests promptly and complete work orders accurately
- Inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Maintain exterior areas such as walkways, parking lots, landscaping, and entrances
- Perform snow removal and apply ice melt during winter conditions as needed
- Monitor and maintain pool systems, ensuring proper water chemistry and temperature compliance
- Obtain required pool certification within 60 days of hire
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Assist with emergency situations and participate in on-call coverage when required
- Keep clear and accurate records of completed maintenance tasks
- Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
