About The Position

The Maintenance Technician at Big Horn Resort is responsible for ensuring the good condition and functionality of the hotel and the Reef Water Park. This role involves a variety of tasks including routine maintenance, landscaping, and pool maintenance, with a focus on health and safety guidelines. The technician will work autonomously to maintain the buildings and common areas, ensuring a pleasant experience for guests.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year of maintenance experience (preferred)
• Driver's License (preferred)
• Boiler License (preferred)
• CPO Certification (preferred)
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, etc.).
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
• Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed.
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows, etc.).
• Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide.
• Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g., landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, etc.).
• Help the team assist hotel guests when needed.
• Assist with pool maintenance.
• Conduct property walks.
