About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Resort Maintenance Technician I to join our dynamic Resort Operations team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining the resort's facilities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests. This position offers a variety of responsibilities, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and responding to guest requests with efficiency and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Execute engineering projects as assigned by resort leadership, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to maintain the optimal functionality of resort facilities and equipment.
  • Complete basic maintenance tasks, including painting, caulking, and repairing wall damage.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues related to toilets, tubs, jacuzzis, showers, faucets, and sinks.
  • Reset circuit breakers and GFCIs, replace bulbs, and measure voltage using appropriate tools.
  • Install, replace, and troubleshoot TVs, remotes, and other electronics to ensure proper operation.
  • Diagnose and repair appliances, replace minor components, and assist with full appliance replacements as necessary.
  • Actively engage in procurement and inventory management to ensure that materials and tools are always available.
  • Utilize resort operations devices and software (e.g., HotSOS) efficiently for reporting and communication.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, proactively identifying and addressing potential hazards.
  • Take on additional tasks as assigned by management to enhance the overall guest experience and resort operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on trades & maintenance experience in a resort or commercial environment.
  • Be energetic, self-motivated, and expressive with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for fostering positive relationships with both guests and peers.
  • Able to adapt to various situations, thrive under pressure, and deliver results within designated timeframes is paramount.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move, push and/or pull up to 50+ pounds.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, and conversing in English.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license.
