The Maintenance Technician performs maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, and HVAC. This role is essential for ensuring the proper functioning and safety of the building operations.
Take direction from the General Manager and comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work place safety.
Perform assigned day to day repairs, emergency and preventative maintenance.
Check and operate exit/emergency lighting systems on a monthly basis.
Repair/replace and inspect drains, vents and supply lines, valves, sinks and toilet fixtures. Plumbing skills are a MUST.
Replace faulty switches, and receptacles.
Troubleshoot electrical problems.
Perform initial HVAC work order analysis and correct issue(s).
Respond to calls for maintenance work as needed.
Complete snow removal when necessary.
Perform preventative maintenance items as directed.
Report issues and trouble spots for improvement.
Perform all HVAC preventative and predictive services.
Replace all bulbs and/or ballasts in common and guest area fixtures as found by daily inspections and reported by guests.
Complete miscellaneous repairs to flooring, ceilings, walls, etc.
Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.
Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair various issues in a timely manner.
Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
