About The Position

Wurzak Hotel Group is looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to support the engineering department at our gorgeous property, Sheraton Valley Forge. This position will be responsible for performing major repairs, and preventative maintenance to ensure hotel maintenance quality standards are achieved and maintained. The Company operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting and ending times, and hours worked in a week. Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems Strong problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail Good communication skills Willingness to learn and take on new challenges Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs. Paint designated areas and items. Install and replace basic electrical fixtures, replace light switches, receptacles, light bulbs and fixtures. Install, replace and program televisions. Perform minor plumbing functions. Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records. Follow Service Recovery Guidelines.. Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and comply with MSDS and OSHA standards. Ensure overall guest satisfaction. Perform other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently

Nice To Haves

  • Hospitality experience preferred
  • Completion of a craft apprenticeship or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience preferred
  • An AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred
