About The Position

The Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor plays a key leadership role within the housekeeping department, ensuring that daily cleaning operations meet the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction. This position is responsible for scheduling staff, assigning work duties, training and mentoring team members, monitoring equipment usage, and maintaining compliance with safety and operational procedures. The ideal candidate leads by example and contributes to a safe, clean, and welcoming guest environment by upholding housekeeping standards and fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and able to obtain and maintain a Ute Mountain Ute Gaming Commission Non-Support License (background checks may be required).
  • Must demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience in housekeeping required
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to coach and lead staff while upholding service standards
  • Basic computer literacy required (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, email)
  • Familiarity with cleaning equipment and chemical safety procedures
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and perform light physical tasks

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience in a hotel or hospitality environment strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily housekeeping operations and staffing.
  • Schedule housekeepers, monitor performance, and adjust assignments as needed to meet service demands
  • Ensure coverage for breaks and shift transitions, and support effective communication between team members
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate housekeeping staff.
  • Provide onboarding, training, and ongoing coaching to housekeepers
  • Conduct 90-day and annual performance evaluations and address disciplinary concerns promptly
  • Maintain hotel cleanliness and operational standards.
  • Monitor quality of guest room and public area cleaning
  • Assist with cleaning tasks as needed and uphold all sanitation, safety, and procedural standards
  • Oversee equipment care and preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure all housekeeping equipment is used safely and maintained according to manufacturer guidelines
  • Report damaged equipment and research potential replacements as needed
  • Manage inventory and supply levels.
  • Monitor housekeeping supply usage and reorder materials in coordination with management
  • Keep organized inventory records and minimize waste
  • Support communication and guest satisfaction.
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate unresolved issues
  • Work collaboratively with other hotel departments during special events or unusual circumstances
  • Ensure compliance with safety and chemical handling protocols.
  • Promote safe work habits and ensure staff comply with gaming, safety, hospitality, tribal, and other regulatory standards
  • Report safety concerns or compliance violations to the appropriate manager
