Join us at The Grand Life—an opportunity to be a part of something truly special. As a Groundskeeper, you'll play a key role in maintaining the resort’s breathtaking grounds. From ensuring the golf courses and hotel grounds are in pristine condition to creating beautiful outdoor spaces for guests to enjoy, your work will be a reflection of the quality and care the Grand Hotel is known for.
Responsibilities
- Turf & Landscape Maintenance: Operate weed eaters, grass edgers, blowers, and mowers to meticulously maintain the turf, ensuring it is free of weeds, overgrowth, and debris. Maintain walkways and lawns to be clean, safe, and visually appealing for guests.
- Chemical Application: Apply fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides to enhance plant health, prevent pest issues, and encourage vibrant growth. Follow safety guidelines and protocols while using these products.
- Irrigation & Watering: Set up hoses and sprinkler systems to ensure adequate watering of all landscape areas, from lush turf to vibrant shrub and flower beds.
- Planting & Pruning: Assist in planting new trees, shrubs, and flowers, as well as trimming and pruning to maintain their shape and health. Proper soil preparation, mulching, and upkeep of these areas will be essential.
- Grounds Maintenance: Collect and dispose of trash and debris, ensuring all areas are tidy and inviting. Additionally, ensure that beaches and other outdoor spaces are meticulously groomed and maintained.
- Safety & Equipment Operation: Safely operate a variety of landscaping tools and equipment, maintaining safety and cleanliness on the property at all times.
