About The Position

Join our team at the Westlake Village Inn! As a Front Desk Supervisor, you will lead and support the front desk team while also providing exceptional guest service. This role is responsible for welcoming and registering guests, explaining accommodations, processing payments, and ensuring smooth check-ins and check-outs. The ideal candidate is guest-focused, professional, and able to balance supervisory responsibilities with hands-on front desk duties.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a front desk associate or similar hospitality role.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Friendly, professional, and outgoing personality with a passion for guest service.
  • Experience using Visual One or similar hotel property management software.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, hear, and talk for extended periods of time.
  • Manual dexterity to use hands, fingers, and arms for prolonged tasks.
  • Ability to move throughout property to assist guests as needed.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily operations of the front desk, providing guidance and support to team members.
  • Perform front desk duties as needed, including check-in/check-out and processing reservations.
  • Serve as part of the trained team to cover night audit duties when required.
  • Ensure efficient, courteous, and professional guest service at all times.
  • Handle guest inquiries and requests, offering personal recommendations to maximize guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain an assigned cash bank, issue change and paid outs, and reconcile transactions at the end of each shift.
  • Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring the highest level of hospitality.
  • Assist with guest inquiries related to services, hotel amenities, events, directions, and local recommendations.
  • Manage phone calls, reservations, changes, and cancellations in the absence of reservations staff.
  • Coordinate arrivals, departures, billing requirements, and review financial transactions for accuracy and approvals.
  • Ensure compliance with credit and financial procedures, including follow-up on outstanding balances.
  • Support safety, security, and emergency protocols, responding effectively to any urgent situation.
  • Utilize property management systems (including Visual One) to check guests in/out, run reports, and manage room assignments.
