About The Position

We are currently looking for Guest Services Representative to join our Front Desk Team! You will find our Hilton Garden Inn with 125 guest rooms and suites, just off Hamburg Turnpike. We are 25 miles from Manhattan so many guests come and stay for a quiet place while visiting New York City. Ice Vault Arena is a short walk away, and shopping and dining is within five-minutes. Our hotel has the Garden Grille and Bar, that serves breakfast and dinner to our guests. The Hilton Garden Inn is one of the 50 hotel properties owned and managed by the award-winning hotel management company, Buffalo Lodging Associates. The Guest Services Representative/Front Desk Agent is the face of the hotel, and provides superior service to all guests.

Requirements

• Customer Service experience, in a hotel setting preferred.
• Marriott experience is a plus.
• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Computer knowledge including intranet, Property management system, WORD, and EXCEL is strongly preferred.
• Must have valid driver's license and acceptable driving history subject to company approval.

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests and completing the check-in/check-out procedure through the Property management system while obtaining and storing pertinent information.
• Handling cash, credit card information and goods at the property.
• Identifying the needs of each guest and providing relevant information regarding the hotel services and amenities to create an accommodating environment for all.
• Responding to all guest requests in a timely manner.
• Taking reservations from incoming callers while providing excellence in service and inputting all information into the hotel management system.
• Updating and canceling reservations in the system as requested by the guest.
