  • Check-in/Check-out hotel guests in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner.
  • Manage phone reservations.
  • Process payments according to established hotel requirements.
  • Follow all cash handling procedures and credit policies.
  • Provide information and assistance to all guests.
  • Familiar with hotel hospitality terminology.
  • Obtain all necessary information when taking room reservations or walk-ins and follow the rate-quoting scenario.
  • Fully comprehend and be able to operate all relevant aspects of the front desk computer system.
  • Maintain regular attendance as required by scheduling, which will vary.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which requires wearing the proper uniform.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Ensure accuracy of all in house accounts before turning the day over.
  • Correct any errors before completing the night audit.
  • Hourly walk arounds of the property.
  • 2 years of hotel front desk experience required.
  • Experience with hotel reservation software (PMS) such as SynXis, SynXis Property Hub, Opera, etc. required.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures outlined by management.
  • Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement.
  • Effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
  • Ability to work in stressful situations.
  • Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service.
  • Understanding of how third-party travel websites operate (Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, etc.).
  • Experience in housekeeping duties.
