Hotel Front Desk Agent|Night Auditor Salary Range $18.00 - $19.00 per hour (experience-based compensation) Position Summary Front Desk Agents|Night Auditors serve as the face of the hotel, delivering exceptional guest service while ensuring the accuracy of daily financial operations. This role is responsible for managing guest interactions, handling reservations and payments, and performing overnight accounting tasks to support smooth hotel operations.

Requirements

  • Previous hotel front desk or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle financial transactions accurately
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently during overnight hours
  • Proficiency in hotel property management systems (PMS) preferred
  • Basic math and accounting skills

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and professionally to create a positive first impression of the hotel.
  • Check guests in and out efficiently, ensuring accuracy of reservations and billing information.
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns, resolving issues with a service-focused approach.
  • Answer phone calls, process reservations, and provide information about hotel services and local attractions.
  • Maintain awareness of room availability, rates, and hotel promotions
  • Perform nightly audit procedures, including posting room and tax charges and reconciling all daily transactions
  • Balance cash, credit card, and ledger accounts to ensure accuracy of financial records
  • Review and verify registration cards, reservations, and room assignments
  • Generate and distribute daily reports to hotel leadership
  • Identify and correct discrepancies in financial records
  • Act as Manager on Duty during overnight hours, ensuring the safety and security of guests and associates
  • Conduct routine property walks and monitor hotel activity during the overnight shift
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby areas
  • Communicate key information and overnight activity to the incoming team
