About The Position

The Hotel Engineer is responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance on guest rooms and common areas, and promptly responding to maintenance requests from guests and staff. Key duties include troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general facility issues, completing work orders accurately, and maintaining tools, equipment, and inventory of maintenance supplies. The role also involves coordinating with vendors and contractors, ensuring compliance with safety standards and property procedures, and supporting overall property cleanliness and appearance. The ideal candidate takes pride in keeping spaces running smoothly and values craftsmanship, accountability, and hospitality.

Requirements

Prior maintenance or facilities experience preferred (hotel experience a plus)
Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Reliable attendance and flexible schedule availability
Friendly, professional demeanor when interacting with guests and teammates
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
