About The Position

Position Summary: The Bellperson is an integral part of the guest experience at La Playa Hotel, providing exceptional service by assisting with luggage, offering local recommendations, and ensuring a seamless arrival and departure experience. This role requires a professional demeanor, strong communication skills, and the ability to anticipate and fulfill guest needs. Key Responsibilities: Greet guests warmly upon arrival and departure, creating a welcoming first and last impression. Assist guests with luggage, including transporting items to and from guest rooms, vehicles, and designated storage areas. Answer incoming calls promptly using the hotel's standard phone etiquette, providing courteous, clear, and accurate assistance. Perform basic check-in and check-out procedures within the hotel's current PMS system. Have basic knowledge of the current PMS system, including sending guest receipts, locating reservations, and adding or updating guest contact information. Provide clear, accurate directions and information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions. Communicate and coordinate effectively with the front desk to ensure guest requests are fulfilled promptly. Perform multiple property walks throughout the shift to ensure the main hotel ambiance, cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards are consistently maintained. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the bell stand, lobby areas, and luggage storage facilities. Deliver guest packages, messages, and in-room amenities in a timely and professional manner. Consistently uphold the hotel's standards of hospitality, professionalism, and guest service. Perform additional duties assigned by management to support hotel operations. Monitor all public areas/bell posts to anticipate all guests' needs. Uphold the hotel's standards of hospitality and professionalism at all times. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role or customer service position preferred.
  • Must have current & safe driving record
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy luggage and stand for extended periods.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Must be available to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
