YOUR SERVICE & OPERATIONAL DUTIES As our Hotel Bartender, you are the experience creator, beverage expert, and friendly face of our bar service.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Bartender, preferably in a hotel or high-volume environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer.
  • Valid responsible alcohol service certification (e.g., TIPS, or state equivalent).
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and cash handling skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with major hotel brands (e.g., Choice, IHG, Marriott).

Responsibilities

  • Mixology & Service Excellence: Customarily and regularly prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with Sandpiper and brand standards. Take food and beverage orders, accurately enter them into the POS system, and handle cash and credit transactions following proper procedures. Ensure all bar service is executed with speed, accuracy, and a positive attitude.
  • Bar Oversight & Inventory: Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and full stocking of the bar area, including all glassware, ingredients, and supplies. Conduct accurate inventory counts as directed and assist in identifying and reporting low stock levels. Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies.
  • Compliance & Responsibility: Strictly uphold all state and local regulations regarding the serving of alcohol, including age verification and responsible service practices. Your judgment is essential in ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests, demonstrating our value to "Do the Right Thing."
  • Guest Engagement & Atmosphere: Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, anticipating their needs and making appropriate menu recommendations. Maintain a welcoming and lively bar atmosphere, promptly and courteously addressing any minor guest concerns.
  • Financial Security: Responsible for the security of the cash bank and all sales transactions conducted during the shift.
