About The Position

Hot Rolling Process Technician Could this be your next move? Do you thrive where precision, pace, and teamwork meet? In this role you’ll run and maintain rolling equipment, keep the line within spec, and solve problems before they slow production. What you’ll do Operate and maintain rolling mill machinery to achieve throughput and quality Monitor temperatures, speeds, and product dimensions; adjust as needed Complete daily housekeeping to keep a safe, orderly work area Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs without maintenance personnel Diagnose issues using strong troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis Own quality control: catch deviations early and correct them What it takes to succeed Rotating shift availability, including weekends and holidays Respectful, dependable, and accountable teammate Comfort in an industrial setting with changing temperatures Fast-paced collaboration, strong work ethic, and sharp attention to detail Proficiency using tapes, micrometers, and inside/outside calipers Consistent attendance and flexibility to meet production needs Minimum 1 year of rolling mill or manufacturing experience Education High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience Strengths that stand out Industrial Construction Heavy Equipment Repair Equipment and Mechanical Troubleshooting CNC Machine Repair Electrical Repair and Industrial Electrical Experience Maintenance and Repair Skills Metal Casting Experience Manufacturing Environment experience Root Cause Analysis Equipment you may work with CNC Mill (3–4 axis VMC) Manual Vertical Mill CNC Mill (5+ axis VMC) Calipers and Micrometers Tube Mill Servo Motors Hydraulic Shear / Shearing Machine What’s in it for you Day 1 medical, vision, and dental benefits Day 1 paid time off and vacation 401(k) with 4.5% company match $500 annual company-paid lifestyle benefit Competitive compensation and bonuses Company-paid life and disability insurance Employee Stock Purchase Plan Training and advancement opportunities Relocation assistance, if applicable Grow with CMC We’re a Fortune 500 innovator in steel and construction reinforcement.
