About The Position

Safely control and maintain all banding equipment and banders, marking robot, sample shear for the daily shifts production.

Requirements

• Strong safety awareness
• Good communication skills (verbal, written, and electronic)
• Self-motivated with the ability to work consistently without direct supervision
• Works well with others and independently
• Quality and detail oriented
• Mechanically inclined
• Willing to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
• Ability to work routinely in a hot environment.
• Repetitive stretching, reaching, lifting and walking will be required to support routine responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of all Hot Mill area cranes
• Scrap disposal using of mill cutting torches
• Operation of Hot Strip Mill sample shears
• Continuous observations and recording (written and electronic) of coil quality data.
• Operation of both automatic and manual strapping equipment
• Various utility functions assigned by area supervisor
