The Hot Melt Ink Production Cell Operator is a member of a production team striving to provide quality products and services that exceed our customer’s expectations. In this role you’ll have an opportunity to contribute as part of the ink manufacturing team utilizing standard procedures for ink manufacturing, product packing, raw material handling, equipment operation and safety requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and write, as well as follow written instructions
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Strong hand eye coordination and dexterity
  • Clear vision and ability to distinguish between colors
  • Frequent standing, kneeling, bending and/or lifting. Pulling up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Execute manufacturing operations according to standards (SOP’s) and job safety requirements
  • Operate ink mills, mixers, scales, product packaging and other production equipment.
  • Perform equipment changeovers and basic troubleshooting and adjustments on ink mills and mixers as required
  • Complete daily production logs and required reporting
  • Proposes any identified improvement in the activity scope
  • Maintain material supply level adhering to “just-in-time” manufacturing principles
  • Operate forklift to maintain raw material supply for the production line as required
  • Troubleshoot mechanical failures and process issues (automation experience including picks and place systems / robotics).
  • Continuous Improvement and lean manufacturing implementation.
  • Clean and maintain work area, emphasis using 6S principles and sustainment.
