Cardinal FG, a float glass manufacturer for residential windows in Portage, is looking for a Hot End Production Technician who work safely, have a strong work ethic, is dependable, has a positive attitude, and work effectively in a small team environment. A Hot End Technician works closely with the melting process of raw materials, makes adjustments to the furnace for proper melting of materials, uses cameras and computers to precisely make the glass into the appropriate width and thickness, and monitors the cooling process of the glass before it is scored into different sizes. This position’s primary schedule is a 12-hour ROTATING shift, working 3 or 4 shifts/week. This schedule provides every other weekend off, only working half the days of the year.
