Hot Die Forging Technician (Mon-Thur. 10hr. shift)
About The Position
ATI is a global manufacturer of technically advanced specialty materials and complex components. Our Irvine, CA, location plays a vital role in our Forged Products division by producing jet engine components for aerospace customers. We are currently seeking a forging technician at our Irvine, CA location. This role assists press operators by performing a variety of tasks supporting the forging process of high-performance materials used in jet engine components for the aerospace industry. A successful forging technician works collaboratively with the team, possess a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to accurately execute written work instructions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to perform basic math.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and execute written instructions.

Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a related field
- Forklift experience

Responsibilities
- Preparing metal stock for forging, positioning hot metal stock on hot dies, and extracting hot forgings from dies
- Completing quality assurance and part tracking documentation
- Preparing thermocouple wiring
- Operating a forklift following safe work practices
- Other duties as assigned by supervision.
