About The Position

Position Summary: The Hot Cook / Grill Specialist is responsible for preparing high-quality grilled and hot food items for the buffet while ensuring consistency, freshness, and food safety. This role focuses on expert preparation of grilled meats, seafood, and specialty items to Golden Corral standards in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a grill cook or line cook preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Availability to work nights and weekends is required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and grill meats, poultry, and seafood to proper doneness and presentation standards.
  • Set up, stock, and maintain the grill and hot cook stations throughout the shift.
  • Follow all recipes, portioning, and temperature guidelines.
  • Ensure hot food items are fresh, properly rotated, and attractively displayed on the buffet.
  • Maintain grill and kitchen equipment cleanliness and safety.
  • Work efficiently with other cooks and buffet attendants to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Uphold Golden Corral’s food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
