About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic Host/Hostess with a genuine sense of warmth and hospitality to join our team! Job Responsibilities: Greet guests warmly and enthusiastically immediately as they enter the restaurant. Provide guests with friendly and attentive service throughout their dining experience. Manage party sizes, reservations, and wait lists to handle guest needs, accurately quote wait times, and maintain the flow of the restaurant. Answer the telephone in a pleasant manner and respond appropriately to all inquiries. Assist with handling takeout orders. Ensure timeliness, accuracy, organization, and payment. Thank guests for visiting as they depart the restaurant and inquire about their experience. Properly communicate guest complaints with a sense of urgency, poise, and good judgment to our Management Team. Complete any assigned opening, side work, and closing duties to set your team up for success. Stock, clean, and organize the guest service stand.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a Host at upscale restaurants
  • A welcoming personality and a true passion for hosting
  • Integrity and the ability to make decisions on your feet
  • The ability to speak clearly and articulately on the telephone, providing information and answering questions for callers, while focusing on etiquette and conveying a sense of calm
  • Experience with reservation systems such as OpenTable
  • Professional, polished, and personable demeanor
