About The Position

Now hiring a Hostess to work in an upbeat & fast-paced restaurant in Destin, FL. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Greeting Guests - Create a positive first impression by warmly welcome guests as they arrive. Managing Reservations - Handle reservations efficiently to ensure that seating arrangements are organized and accommodating to guests. Seating Guests - Escort guests to their tables, present the menus to the guests, and provide initial information about services, food, & drinks. Maintaining Waitlists - Keep an accurate waitlist during busy periods and communicate estimated wait times to guests. Answering Inquiries - Respond to guests inquiries & concerns promptly & professionally in order to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Supporting Staff - Collaborate with servers & kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service. Monitoring Dining Room Activity - Observe the dining area to assess guest flow & table turnover, making adjustments as needed to optimize seating & service.

Requirements

  • Customer Service Skills - A friendly demeanor and the ability to positively engage with guests to ensure a pleasant dining experience.
  • Organizational Skills - Ability to manage reservations & waitlists efficiently, ESPECIALLY during PEAK hours.
  • Communication Skills - Strong verbal communication skills to interact with guests AND staff effectively.
  • Problem-Solving Skills - Ability to handle guest complaints calmly & professionally.
  • Flexibility - Willingness to work in shifts & adapt to the fast-paced environment of a restaurant.
  • Must pass pre-employment background check.
