About The Position
We are seeking a friendly and professional Hostess to join our team in Kenner, United States. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will create a welcoming atmosphere while managing seating arrangements and ensuring smooth dining operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Restaurant or hospitality experience is a plus
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with restaurant POS systems
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for managing reservations
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods

Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a warm, friendly manner
- Manage the restaurant's waiting list and coordinate seating arrangements
- Answer phones and handle reservations efficiently
- Provide accurate wait times to guests and manage their expectations
- Guide guests to their tables and present menus
- Maintain cleanliness of the reception area
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure optimal dining experience
- Monitor dining room capacity and table status
- Assist with basic administrative tasks as needed
- Handle guest inquiries and special requests professionally
