About The Position

Kings Card Club is looking for a Host to join our team! The Host will welcome and warmly greet guests on arrival, manage the efficient and timely seating of guests, answer incoming calls, and assist with serving food and drinks. The role requires a friendly demeanor and the ability to handle various tasks in a busy environment.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • SERV safe Certification or Food Handler’s Card, and RBS Certified.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet guests upon arrival, addressing them by name whenever possible.
  • Manage the efficient and timely seating of guests to tables.
  • Answer incoming calls and transfer them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Present menus, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and service.
  • Check IDs to ensure guests are 21 years old.
  • Take and enter customers’ orders in the POS system.
  • Serve courses from the kitchen and service bars.
  • Memorize or write down orders accurately.
  • Record guest names and party sizes when immediate seating is limited.
  • Call out names and party sizes when tables become available.
  • Accommodate special seating requests whenever possible.
  • Inspect tables for proper presentation and completeness upon seating.
  • Relay messages to servers as needed.
  • Assist with bussing tables when busy.
  • Wrap silverware.
  • Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
  • Attend scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.
  • Report any issues to FOH Leads, FOH Manager, and/or F&B Manager.
