About The Position

The Host position at IVR Bar is an entry-level role focused on providing exceptional guest experiences in a dynamic restaurant environment. This position offers opportunities for advancement and includes two weeks of paid training to prepare staff for their responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bartender License (Required)
• Previous experience hosting or working in the restaurant service industry preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems like Toast, phone communication, and customer service
• Knowledgeable about menu themes, restaurant operations, and events
• Strong cash handling skills
• Excellent guest service skills with the ability to work well under pressure
• A team player who is willing to help colleagues when needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests promptly with a friendly demeanor.
• Take and modify reservations.
• Assist staff in preparing tables for seating.
• Manage the floor using a POS system during service.
• Adhere to food safety and handling guidelines to ensure the highest quality service.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff for carry out orders.
• Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring satisfaction.
• Adhere to procedures outlined in allergy policy, foremost notifying a manager and safe handling of food items to prevent cross-contamination.
• Complete all sidework and check out with manager prior to clocking out.
