About The Position

Branch & Bird in downtown Fort Worth is searching for a reliable Host who will be responsible for greeting and escorting guests to tables, taking reservations, answering the phone and directing calls and providing courteous and efficient service. This position assists with booking large parties, planning menus and related details, and ensuring the entrance and dining room floor are clean and ready for service. This person must assist in the maintenance of the restaurant area and dining room setup and be able to maintain timely, detailed, and deferential guest service standards. The ideal candidate will have prior restaurant Host experience and be capable of contributing to our system with moderate supervision. He or she must have great time management skills and be extremely organized. The Host will report directly to the Management.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge all arriving guests, however busy and whatever time of day
• Escort guests to their table or provide directions as required
• Assist in preparing the restaurant for service including booking and setting up large parties
• Take reservations using OpenTable and maintain reservation book including all basic guest information
• Communicate VIP arrivals, special requests, special occasions, allergies or restrictions to all management
