About The Position

The Host is to immediately interact with our guests by warmly greeting them upon arriving to dine at our restaurant. Hosts are responsible for positive guest interactions by quickly being attentive to their seating requests in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner. As a Host, it is his/her responsibility to make sure our guests are delighted in their visit and leave with the best guest experience possible, inviting them to return.

Requirements

Must possess a positive attitude and work well with other team members.
Must be able to work unsupervised.
Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel.
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours, 100% of the time).
Be willing to follow direction and ask questions for clarification if needed.

Satisfactory completion of a pre-employment drug screening.
Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

Restaurant industry experience preferred.
Knowledge and understanding of relevant food safety and sanitation laws, principles, procedures, and practices.

Responsibilities

Warmly meets and greets all guests upon arrival.
Presents menus to guests, informs guests of restaurant specials and of servers name.
When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in party.
Provide guests with estimated waiting time.
Run floor plan board and seat guests fairly and/or by special request, accurately recording reservation information.
Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness.
Relay messages to servers and bussers as needed.
Answer phone; respond to guests questions in person or by phone.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Must obtain a New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit and a Food Handlers Certificate
