About The Position

Summary of Position:  Welcome and warmly greet members on arrival. Manage the efficient and timely seating of our members to a table that best serves their wishes.  The job requires flexible hours based on Business needs, typical shifts are 4-5 hours.

Requirements

• Previous restaurant experience required.
• Be able to working in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
• Must be able to communicate clearly in English with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel, members and guests. (Spanish helpful)
• Must be computer literate and able to learn the POS, Reservation and Management Information Systems
• Must have exceptional grooming habits.

Responsibilities

• Warmly and graciously greet all members upon arrival.
• When possible, open the front door for members entering or leaving the restaurant.
• Create table seating plan from Reservations.
• Accommodate special seating requests for members whenever possible.
• Seat members based on member preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations.
• Upon seating, offer members a menu and inform them of their server’s name. Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness.
• Relay messages to servers and bus persons as needed.
• Thank members as they leave and invite them to return.
