About The Position

You’re the first impression and the final farewell. As a host, you create a warm welcome, keep things running smoothly at the front door, and help guests start their experience off right.

Requirements

  • Friendly, professional, and quick on your feet.
  • Can communicate clearly in person and on the phone.
  • Organized and confident using a POS or reservation system.
  • Comfortable handling basic math for party counts, bills, or reservations.
  • On your feet the entire shift
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting (up to 20 lbs occasionally)
  • Talking with guests and answering phones throughout your shift

Nice To Haves

  • Previous host or customer service experience a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Greet every guest like they’re family and seat them with intention.
  • Manage reservations and waitlists, making sure both guests and servers are set up for success.
  • Stay aware of what’s happening in the restaurant—events, crowd flow, table turns, and special requests.
  • Keep up with the menu, specials, 86’d items, drinks, and anything else guests may ask about.
  • Know your floor plan like the back of your hand—seat numbers, capacity, setup, and more.
  • Share info about local happenings or attractions to enhance the guest experience.
