About The Position

Max’s Tavern and Max’s Swing Lounge, both located inside the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA, are seeking a friendly, energetic, and professional Host with open availability to join our team. If you’re passionate about delivering exceptional guest service in a dynamic, high-energy environment, we want to meet you! Max Hospitality has been a regional leader in dining and service for over 30 years, known for high-quality cuisine, exceptional guest experiences, and thoughtful hospitality. Max’s Tavern offers elevated American fare in a relaxed, upscale-casual setting, while Max’s Swing Lounge provides a unique indoor golf experience with cutting-edge simulators, inventive cocktails, and lounge-style small plates. Together, these two concepts create a dynamic and welcoming environment for guests, and we’re looking for a Host who can be the face of our operations, ensuring a smooth and memorable dining experience for all.

Requirements

Strong communication skills with a polished phone manner

Ability to stay organized and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
Ability to handle multiple tasks at once while maintaining a positive guest experience
Excellent team-player attitude with a passion for hospitality
Ability to work well under pressure and ensure guest satisfaction at all times

Nice To Haves

Prior experience as a Host or in a guest-facing role in a fine-dining or upscale-casual restaurant is preferred
Experience with reservation systems like OpenTable is a plus
Experience coordinating special events or parties is a bonus

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable
Manage dining room reservations and assist in arranging parties or special events
Provide special services for diners celebrating special occasions
Assist with to-go orders, ensuring accuracy, organization, and timely execution
Collaborate with the management team to ensure smooth service and assist with ad hoc tasks as needed
Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house environment, ensuring a professional and welcoming atmosphere for guests
Assist in coordinating guest seating arrangements and managing the flow of the dining room during busy times
Ensure all guests receive outstanding service from arrival to departure
