About The Position

Inspired by the taverns of Greece, Naxos Taverna at Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa is a story of exemplary culinary experience, purity of flavors, and gracious hospitality that captures the spirit of its namesake, Naxos. An island in the southeast of Greece in the Aegean sea Naxos was heralded in ancient times as the isle of Dionysus, the god of wine and celebration. An Elevated traditional style Taverna, featuring contemporary Greek fare from Chef Mark Andelbradt, Naxos Taverna serves approachable Mediterranean seafood-focused cuisine cooked from the soul. Position Summary: Our Host are responsible for welcoming, greeting and seating guests in a gracious, accommodating, and professional manner, ensuring 100% guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Previous restaurant experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and phone skills.
  • Professional verbal and written communication with guests, co-workers and leadership .
  • Must be organized, self-motivated, and proactive with a strong attention to detail.
  • Must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with a welcoming smile, and in a professional manner.
  • Assist guests to their table at a comfortable pace.
  • Answer phones, take reservations, and answer any guest inquiries.
  • Maintain that menus are clean, current, and in good condition.
  • Keep host area clean and organized.
  • Must have a SNHD Food Handler card up to date.
  • Reports all breakage, damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.
  • Assist other areas of the restaurant when necessary.
  • All other duties as assigned.
